Current Focus – Musicality

Older infants drumming

Our infants are constantly immersed in a musical environment.  Singing songs, humming rhythms, beating drums, and shaking eggs are a constant source of classroom joy and social engagement.  Our infants are free to work with musical instruments when ever they feel like doing so, both informally on their own and formally when the teachers facilitate a music session.  Mimicking musical tones, patterns, and speech are great ways for infants to practice forming sounds and words.  Studies have shown that music helps with auditory memory, language comprehension, and emotional intelligence.  Learn more about our Infant Program.
