C5 Children’s School main offices in our California State Building Center are located at 455 Golden Gate Avenue, Suite 2400, San Francisco, California 94102. Find us on the second floor of the Hiram Johnson State of California Office Building. The main entrance to the building is in the middle of the block on the south side of Golden Gate Avenue between Polk and Larkin Streets.

Security screening is conducted at all entrances to the building that houses our center. It is comparable to screening for courtrooms and the airport. Access to the building after 5:30 p.m. and on weekends is only by special arrangement.

We welcome contacts representing a wide range of interests, including those from:

• Parents and family members who want information and to apply for enrollment
• Colleagues in other early childhood education programs
• University and college students and their instructors and professors
• Members of the research community
• Members of the media
• Members of the public who wish to attend our seminars, conferences, and exhibits
• Representatives of government groups interested in our leading educational practices

We also hold special exhibits, conferences, workshops, seminars, tours, and other meetings in various locations within the buildings housing our centers. Some are in the Hiram Johnson State Office Building housing our CA State Building Center and are held in the lower level conference center, the second floor mezzanine or cafeteria, or the first floor Great Hall. Visit or contact our Main Offices in that building in Suite 2400 for meeting information and directions.

The closest parking is in the block next to our building housing our main office. It is the University of California Hastings Parking Garage at 376 Larkin Street, between McAllister and Golden Gate Avenue. It is on the east side of the street, the right side, as you are traveling north on Larkin. 

The next closest parking garage is in the block  on the other side of our building. It is the Civic Center garage that is underground below Civic Center Park in front of City Hall. The entrance is on McAllister Street between Polk and Larkin.

If you take BART or MUNI, get off at the Civic Center Station, walk to Larkin, go north on Larkin to Golden Gate Avenue, turn left before crossing Golden Gate Avenue, walk to the middle of the block, and the main entrance to our building is immediately off of the sidewalk in the State of California Building.
