Your dollar and in-kind donations to C5 will help us to continue to provide the high quality of learning and development programs that children of all ages and all walks of life deserve.
In addition, they will help us continue to share our experiences with others in the early childhood education field and in the community at large.
Currently, dollar contributions are being directed to scholarships for select children and their families and for special areas of professional development that augment the skills and knowledge of each of our excellent staff members.
C5 welcomes online, cash, and check donations to help make our exceptional program a truly great one. Most all of the donations that we receive go directly to scholarships for children and to staff development for specially dedicated teachers. See the online contribution options below.
Your donations help us to continue to expand the sharing of our program with other early childhood education programs who are serving low income families in the area. A couple of examples are sharing staff training sessions and collaborating on exhibits of children’s work, especially during our annual spring Festival of Learning.
With enough support, we will also publish a manual on how to make learning visible to parents, families, and communities; to help set up websites for sharing program information; and, to conduct teacher exchanges and co-teaching mentoring experiences.
You are invited to make a significant donation to support these initiatives; or make a modest monthly contribution; or convert the sale of a second vehicle into a cash donation to C5; or, consider another form of contribution, such as in-kind items or sharing your personal expertise.
Extended family members of enrolled C5 children can consider making a monthly contribution in recognition of having access to the C5 Private Website, Connections. It has an extensive array of information, including access to all of the learning groups’ Daily Stories and accompanying pictures, project forums, Weekly Plans, Head Parents’ newsletters, user and teacher initiated surveys, community-wide announcements, and much more.

C5 can use all kinds of goods. You might have some suggestions of things that you can donate that you believe could enhance our program. They may be newly purchased, as many are based on wish lists in each classroom, or they may be used items in good shape for re-use.
All donated goods must be clean, organized, child friendly, and healthy-not inherently dangerous if intended for child use. Also, technology equipment and most other tools, equipment, and furniture should be fairly new and not require repair or significant upgrading to be useful.
We are happy to receive items from you. We can provide a letter of receipt for goods that you can use in your tax reporting.
Note: We cannot provide in the letter of receipt a value for the good(s) we receive from you. The estimation or calculation of the value is up to you and your tax adviser.
We also have a few initial suggestions for items you might consider donating. Here are some of them:
- Paper, such as old letterhead when converting to a new one
- Relatively new laptops. Some companies turn over about one third of their laptop inventory each year. C5 can be a recipient of those turned over.
- Flashlights and new batteries
- Shelving for books and binders
- Flower vases
- Digital cameras
- Outdoor and indoor plants
- Magnifying glasses
- Child-size hand tools
- Throw pillows with washable covers
If you are interested and want to donate some goods or even have some questions about donating, simply click here to go directly to Contact Us.
C5 can always use additional expertise. We are eager to explore with you what you might offer. We will consider brief suggestions, more elaborate advisories, and long-term consultation. You might have a specific area identified where you believe we could use some help. Or, you might just want to offer your expertise and work with us on where it might be applied.
Any area of expertise that you might offer is worth considering. Here are few, of many, areas to consider:
- Computer graphics
- Music composing and lyric writing
- Wireless communications
- Grants getting
- Acquiring other resources
- Database management
- Technology in the classroom
- Cooking and nutrition
